Step 5 of the Baldwin Community Schools ledger is a simple one.
For 2024–25, Baldwin recorded $19,599.77 in dues and fees across 22 accounts.
Here's where those dollars landed:
General Fund: $16,199.77
Fund 25: $900.00
Fund 51: $2,500.00
The final budget for these accounts was $19,440, putting actual spending just $159.77 over budget.
No giant red flag. No dramatic rabbit hole.
Just another piece of the ledger.
One important limitation: this particular record is an account summary. It tells us how much was charged to dues and fees, but it does not identify every organization receiving those dollars.
And that's okay.
Not every receipt needs to uncover something shocking. Sometimes transparency is simply showing taxpayers where the dollars went.
