Title: Plainwell Community Schools - 2025 salary and compensation report
Post by: Shadowninja on Sep 21, 2026, 02:04 PM
Dearest reader,

Step 3 of the Plainwell Community Schools ledger takes us to the district's 2025 salary and compensation report.

The report lists 10 positions.

Together, those 10 positions account for approximately:

$1.22 million in salaries.

$1.81 million in total compensation.

At the top of the report:

Superintendent
Salary: $198,445.35
Total Compensation: $297,381.87

Director of Finance
Salary: $131,422.29
Total Compensation: $193,860.35

But those aren't the only positions listed.

The report also includes:

High School Principal — $159,677.93 total compensation

Curriculum & Compliance Officer — $160,304.11

Elementary Principal — $168,203.24

Director of Special Education — $168,998.89

Athletic Director — $167,311.70

High School Teacher — $161,824.60

Middle School Principal — $165,876.33

High School Assistant Principal — $165,229.96

And remember what "total compensation" means here.

It isn't simply salary.

Plainwell's report separately accounts for items such as district-paid insurance, FICA and retirement. For example, the superintendent's reported $297,381.87 in total compensation includes $32,710.84 in district-paid insurance costs and $72,069.88 in benefit costs.

I'm not putting all ten people on a graphic.

The point isn't to turn a public salary report into a wall of numbers.

The point is to establish another piece of the ledger:

10 positions.

$1.22 million in salaries.

$1.81 million in total compensation.

And now we keep going.

Because one receipt rarely tells the whole story. 👑📖
