Title: Bangor Township Schools - 10-YEAR Staffing Comparison
Post by: Shadowninja on Sep 22, 2026, 03:30 PM
Dearest reader,

Now that we've looked at the money, let's look at the people.

Bangor Township Schools' staffing picture changed quite a bit between 2014-15 and 2024-25.

Teacher FTE increased from 102.88 to 160.48. An increase of 55.99%.

Student support increased even more, from 6.55 to 16.54 FTE%. Up 152.52%.

At the same time, instructional aides fell from 14.50 to 5.66 FTE, a decrease of 60.97%. Library specialist and library support FTE both fell to zero in this dataset.

And here's something particularly important given some of the breadcrumbs I've received about administration:

The data do not show an increase in the overall number of administrators.

The separate NCES comparison shows total administrators declining from 17 to 15 over the decade, while total district staff increased from 238.42 to 288.80 FTE. An increase of 21.13%.

That's why I run the numbers before following the breadcrumbs.

A reader may point me toward a rabbit hole, but the receipts get the final word. Sometimes they strengthen a question. Sometimes they tell us to ask a different one.

Next, we'll start looking at what some of those positions cost.

With receipts and respect.
