Lady Budgetdown: And Then I Looked Below the Upper Nine...
Dear readers,
Lady Budgetdown had every intention of closing the SISD ledger after examining the upper administrative structure.
Truly, I did.
But then my quill wandered down the organizational chart.
And apparently, there were more stairs. 🪶
Below SISD's upper administrative structure sit additional layers of Directors, Program Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Principals and Assistant Principals across the organization.
Finance was particularly determined to keep my attention.
Executive Director → Director of Finance & Business → then a management/supervisory layer containing Business Manager, Finance Manager, Payroll Manager, Pupil Accounting Manager, Finance Software Supervisor, and Finance Specialist.
Human Resources has an Executive Director → Director → HR Manager.
Instructional Services has an Executive Director → Director → Program Director.
Technology has an Executive Director → Director → Supervisor/Manager layer.
And then there are the leadership positions across CTE, Hartley, Millet Learning Center, Transitions Center and Facilities.
Now, before anyone sends Lady Budgetdown a strongly worded carrier pigeon, the existence of management positions does not, by itself, mean those positions are unnecessary.
That isn't what this chart says.
What it does show is something much simpler:
When we discussed the nine upper-management positions carrying $1.514 million in salary, we were looking only at the top of the tree.
There are considerably more branches beneath it.
And since so many readers have asked me what SISD's administrative layering actually looks like, I thought perhaps everyone should simply see it for themselves.
No assumptions necessary.
Just the organizational structure, the titles, and another page from the public ledger.
My poor quill thought we were finished.
It was mistaken. 👑🪶
