Well, dearest readers, Lady Budgetdown opened the Saginaw ISD ledger... and apparently the $100K Club required its own seating chart.
For 2024–25, I pulled out just the central administration & leadership positions earning more than $100,000.
Fourteen positions made this particular list.
Their combined base salaries: $2,080,177.
But three positions had another little something tucked into the ledger under "supplemental compensation":
👑 Superintendent:
$297,000 salary
* $97,469 supplemental
= $394,469
Deputy Superintendent:
$196,100 salary
* $22,200 supplemental
= $218,300
Deputy Superintendent:
$171,218 salary
* $10,037 supplemental
= $181,255
Altogether, these 14 central administration & leadership positions account for:
$2,080,177 in salary
$129,706 in supplemental compensation
$2,209,883 combined
Now, before someone comes charging into the ballroom waving a calculator: this is not every Saginaw ISD employee earning more than $100,000. There are other employees in the disclosure, including principals, teachers and other staff, who cross that threshold.
I specifically pulled the central administration & leadership positions for this ledger.
And one more receipt before we close the book: the 2024–25 disclosure shows two Deputy Superintendent positions. SISD currently lists one.
No scandal declared. No conclusion assigned.
Just $2.2 million sitting neatly in one corner of the ledger, waiting for taxpayers to decide what they think of it.
Because around here, I don't tell the numbers what story to tell.
