Post by: Shadowninja on Sep 30, 2026, 03:04 PM
Dearest reader,

Next up in Grosse Ile Township Schools: compensation.

According to the district's 2025 Compensation Report, 29 employees had Medicare wages of $100,000 or more.

Combined total compensation for those 29 employees:

💰 $5,411,535.71

For a closer look at three central administrative positions:

🏫 Superintendent
Medicare Wages: $156,733.88
Total Compensation: $272,588.33

📋 Assistant Superintendent
Medicare Wages: $130,304.62
Total Compensation: $215,448.78

💵 Chief Financial Officer
Medicare Wages: $118,193.01
Total Compensation: $180,695.54

A quick distinction that matters:

The $100,000 threshold is based on Medicare wages reported by the district. Total compensation is higher because it also includes the retirement, insurance and FICA/Medicare costs reported for each employee.

As always, Lady B is not deciding whether anyone is paid too much, too little, or just right.

The purpose of the ledger is much simpler:

Put the numbers on the table.

You decide what you think of them. 🪶

With receipts and respect,
