Dearest reader,
Lady B has reached Step 3 of the Chippewa Hills School District ledger. 🪶
This time, we are opening the district's 2025 Compensation Report.
Lady B pulled every employee whose Medicare wages (Box 5) reached $100,000 or more.
📌 11 employees met that threshold.
Together, those 11 employees received:
💰 $2,000,426.09 in total compensation.
For the administrative positions included in that group:
🏛 Superintendent
Medicare Wages: $172,791.02
Total Compensation: $260,456.99
📋 Administrator
Medicare Wages: $136,445.37
Total Compensation: $212,416.80
📋 Administrator
Medicare Wages: $124,521.52
Total Compensation: $197,331.32
A little housekeeping from the ledger:
Medicare wages are not necessarily the same thing as an employee's base salary.
And "total compensation" includes more than wages, which is why Lady B keeps those two numbers separate rather than mixing them together.
The remaining employees above the $100,000 Medicare-wage threshold included principals and teachers. They are counted in the 11-employee total, but Lady B is displaying the superintendent and other administrative positions individually here.
No assumptions. No creative accounting.
Just what the district reported.
Next, Lady B heads into the check register — and there are quite a few receipts waiting there. 👀🧾
With receipts and respect. 🪶
