Dearest reader,
We have reached Step 5 of the Dryden Community Schools ledger.
And sometimes the receipts deserve a compliment. 🪶
Lady B reviewed Dryden's 2024-25 independent audit.
Here is what the auditors reported:
✅ NO MATERIAL WEAKNESSES IDENTIFIED
The auditors did not identify any deficiencies in internal control that they considered material weaknesses.
✅ NO REPORTABLE NONCOMPLIANCE
Their testing disclosed no instances of noncompliance or other matters required to be reported under Government Auditing Standards.
✅ NO MATERIAL AUDIT ADJUSTMENTS
There were misstatements identified during the audit.
But management corrected them ALL, and the auditors specifically reported that none were material — individually or in the aggregate.
✅ NO DISAGREEMENTS WITH MANAGEMENT
The auditors also reported no significant difficulties in dealing with management and no disagreements during the audit.
And their opinion on Dryden's financial statements?
They concluded that the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the district's financial position and results for the year.
In other words:
CLEAN AUDIT REVIEW. ✅
Dearest reader, accountability works both ways.
When an audit identifies a material weakness, repeat finding or compliance problem, Lady B puts it in the ledger.
And when the auditors DON'T find those problems?
That belongs in the ledger too.
There is no predetermined conclusion here.
We follow the numbers wherever they lead.
For Dryden's 2024-25 audit, they led somewhere good.
Credit where credit is due. 👏
With receipts and respect.
