WELL, WELL, WELL... WHAT AN INTERESTING COINCIDENCE.
Dearest readers,
Remember Saturday's post about administrator credentials at Saginaw Township Community Schools?
Specifically, Heritage High School Assistant Principal Marcie Winters?
Well, I have a rather interesting update.
A reader sent me a breadcrumb, which I verified when I checked Michigan's educator credential system on Saturday. At that time there were SIX records listed for Ms. Winters.
All six were teaching credentials.
No School Administrator Permit appeared. Not ONE.
I checked again today.
And wouldn't you know it?
There are now SEVEN records.
That seventh record?
A School Administrator Permit for the 2026–2027 school year, issued to Saginaw Township Community Schools.
And the issue date?
📅 OCTOBER 17, 2026. SATURDAY!
The very same day Lady Budgetdown brought the credential question to readers' attention.
Now, isn't that an interesting coincidence?
I do have a few questions.
How could the board unanimously approve her elevation to assistant principal in 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year without verifying she had the proper credentials?
How could the board who stated her promotion was based on if she received the proper certifications/credentials etc., not follow up on that for over a year?
Why was an administrator permit for the 2026–2027 school year issued in mid-October?
And is the timing simply a coincidence?
I've included the MOECS screenshots so readers can see the change for themselves.
Sometimes a breadcrumb leads to another breadcrumb.
And sometimes the dates raise more questions than the original records.
With receipts and respect,
