Title: WAYNE COUNTY - Superintendent Pay
Post by: Shadowninja on Sep 14, 2026, 11:35 AM
Wayne County has entered the ledger.

Part 1 of the superintendent pay comparison, 16 districts, using the compensation figures reported by the districts themselves alongside pupil counts.

And, as always, a gentle reminder from Lady Budgetdown:

Posting public compensation is not an attack on superintendents. It is not an accusation, and it certainly isn't an attempt to divide anyone. Public employees are paid with public dollars. The numbers are public for a reason.

Some will look high. Some will look low. Some may make perfect sense once district size, responsibilities and circumstances are considered.

Lady Budgetdown's job is simply to open the ledger, put the numbers beside one another, and let you decide what they mean. 🪶

Part 2 will complete Wayne County.

With receipts and respect. 👑
