Dearest reader... Jenison's audits have entered the ledger. 🪶

And sometimes the receipts tell us there simply isn't a financial fire to put out.

Over the last three audited years, Jenison Public Schools reported:

📜 2022–23: +$2.15 million
📜 2023–24: +$4.50 million
📜 2024–25: +$380,000

Ending General Fund balance:
$16.57M → $21.07M → $21.45M

That's three consecutive positive results, with the district's fund balance growing by nearly $7 million.

And there's another interesting piece: actual financial results repeatedly came in better than the district's budget projections.

Spending increased during the period, and support services grew faster than instruction — something worth noting alongside the staffing numbers we already reviewed.

But as far as the audits themselves?

Sometimes following the money uncovers a problem.

Sometimes it confirms the books are healthy.

Receipts work both ways. 👑🪶

With receipts & respect.
