Lady Budgetdown has now seen an email sent to Novi staff in which Superintendent Ben Mainka refers to information circulating through social media, including "AI-generated Bridgerton Graphics," as information that may be "incomplete, lacks context, or is simply inaccurate."

So I would like to extend a very simple invitation:

Please tell me what is wrong. Not generally. Specifically.

If Lady Budgetdown has published a Novi number that is inaccurate, identify the number.

If a calculation is wrong, identify the calculation and provide the correct one.

If information is missing important context, tell readers what that context is.

If I have misunderstood something contained in Novi's financial records, explain what I misunderstood.

And if I made an error, I will correct it publicly.

That's not a challenge. That's how transparency should work.

The financial information presented on this page has been taken from public records - including information Novi Community School District itself publishes through its Budget & Salary/Compensation Transparency Reporting.
The graphics may wear pearls and carry a quill.

The numbers underneath them do not come from Bridgerton. They come from the records of Novi School District itself.

Calling information "inaccurate" without identifying the alleged inaccuracy doesn't give employees or the public the information they need to evaluate that claim.

You had plenty of inaccurate information in your presentation tonight. Notice how I corrected the record for you dear reader.

So the invitation remains open:

Show me the number.

Show me the error.

Show me the source.

I'll show you mine.

And if the records prove Lady Budgetdown wrong, the correction will be made just as publicly as the original post.
