You've found The Parlour.

The Ledger is where I organize the research and keep the receipts.

The Parlour is where we talk about them, and plenty of other things too.

This is the general gathering place for readers of Lady Budgetdown. You're welcome to start a conversation about Michigan schools, something happening in your community, public education, a Ledger post, or anything else reasonably connected to what we do here.

You do not have to agree with Lady Budgetdown to participate.

In fact, please don't turn this place into a room where everyone simply nods at one another. That sounds terribly boring.

Disagreement is welcome.

Being an asshole about it is not.

Challenge an argument. Question a number. Bring another perspective. Explain why you see something differently. Just remember there's another human being sitting behind the other keyboard.

And please keep personal information, rumors presented as facts, attacks on private individuals, and unsupported accusations out of the Parlour.
