Remember that 84.04% increase in Operations & Maintenance per pupil that caught my eye?

Well, I followed it.

The audits provided the context: security improvements, purchased services, wage adjustments and ongoing facilities work. The district also ended FY2024 with a $5.78 million General Fund balance. 

So this rabbit hole ends here. 🪶

A big number tells me where to look — not what conclusion to reach.

Sometimes the receipts raise questions.
