Dearest reader,

Now let's look at compensation at Bangor Township Schools.

The district's 2025 Employee Compensation Information report lists 9 employees with more than $100,000 in Medicare-taxable wages.

Eight are administrators or administrative-type positions. One is a teacher.

Among the central administrative positions:

Superintendent — $220,297 in wages | $323,036 total compensation
Human Resource Director — $131,423 | $190,911
Assistant Superintendent — $126,231 | $184,893
Curriculum Director — $121,731 | $198,173
MTSS Coordinator — $116,586 | $192,796
MTSS Coordinator — $112,284 | $187,288

The superintendent's compensation also includes a $20,764.80 in-lieu allowance.

Add all 9 employees on the district's report together, and their combined total compensation comes to $1,736,867.

And remember what we found in the staffing data: the number of administrators hasn't increased over the decade.

So the question here isn't simply, "Did Bangor hire more administrators?"

The staffing receipts say no.

The next question is what Bangor is spending on administration — and how that has changed.

One breadcrumb at a time. 🐇

With receipts and respect.
