LADY BUDGETDOWN: LUDINGTON AREA SCHOOLS

Ten years. Fewer pupils. A lot more money per pupil.

From 2014–15 to 2024–25:

📉 Pupil count: 2,264 → 2,049.77 (−9.46%)
💰 Revenue/pupil: $9,017 → $15,025 (+66.63%)
📚 Instruction/pupil: $6,285 → $8,884 (+41.35%)
🏛 Business & administration/pupil: $931 → $1,814 (+94.84%)
🛠 Operations & maintenance/pupil: $690 → $1,102 (+59.71%)
👩🏫 Average teacher salary: $57,149 → $75,261 (+31.69%)

For comparison, inflation over the same period was approximately 35.83%.

Revenue per pupil grew nearly twice the rate of inflation. Business & administration spending per pupil nearly doubled.

Meanwhile, average teacher salary growth didn't keep pace with inflation.

That doesn't answer the question.

It tells me which question to ask:

As more money came into the district per student, where did Ludington choose to put it? 👀

With receipts & respect. 👑
